Have we discussed this yet? They might now be sloshing in lots of Indian money, but who seriously thinks this is a good idea or good way forward for English cricket? Who does this appeal to or resonate with?
“MI London”..?! Some logos printed off a trippy version of Microsoft Paint?!
I can understand Hyderabad, India being dubbed Sunrisers, but Leeds..?!

Not a fan of the branding.
I've largely enjoyed The Hundred, and it's responsible for having got my wife into cricket. However, the 'cookie cutter' approach of the Indian owners leaves a lot to be desired.
I understand that they want 'brand recognition' above all else, hence the presence of various MI/Sunrisers/Supergiants franchises around the world, but the use of the elephant for Manchester, in particular, is just crap. It looks like a PES-era off-brand logo.
Hopefully the non-Indian owners will have some better ideas if, indeed, they choose to re-brand their own teams. |  |

I presume MI London is Mumbai Indians London - it doesn’t even make sense!
It’s the football equivalent of Red Bull Salzburg / RB Leipzig, New York etc… Only very odd people would support the ‘franchise’ and it just turns off the locals - because support is so closely tied to geography, not ‘brand’. | |

The original concept was a city -based competition with city branding, mainly to appeal to urban mass and differentiate from the county scene. Originally The Northern Superchargers were going to be Leeds something or other, so it is back to the original concept in a way.
Not sure that the competition needs the rebranding to MI London( Oval based) when there is already London Spirit (Lords based) [Post edited 15 Jan 17:02]

I have had no interest in the Hundred at all and the rebranding of the Northern Superchargers with Leeds in the name will narrow the wider Yorkshire support (if there was much to start with) of that team even more.
However on the flip side Yorkshire CCC has made a £60m profit out of the franchise sale, which means it is debt free for the first time in who knows how many years. This is really important for the club given that after this year it doesn’t host a Test match in 2027 or 2028, which means a decline in revenue.
Ordinarily I wouldn’t care less about Yorkshire CCC with me being a Notts supporter, however my youngest son is the YCCC Academy and so he is going to benefit from the investments coming from the Hundred sale. Doesn’t guarantee he’ll become a professional cricketer but means he is within a more stable environment. | | | |

I believe in Yorkshire's case, 15 million sum is owed to the Graves family that has sustained the club through the last few years of troubles and ground development etc. But the balance is intended to be kept for running the club on a sustainable basis. I still think the Hundred will morph into T20 within 2 years. Frankly if it were to die, I would not care. | | | |
