Quick and dirty assessment of Anis! 13:10 - Jan 23 with 859 viewshomer_123

Strengths

- Direct goal threat from wide/inside-left/central - decent return of goals
- Ball-carrying + 1v1 ability - skillful and happy to take on players
- Chance creation in the half-spaces - again, good record on creating opportunities and goal involvement
- Long-shot / edge-of-box threat - Chaplin'esq

Development areas

- Defensive work-rate / off-ball output - def his biggest area for development for us under KM
- “Final action” efficiency and selection - oddly, I think his XG is a little low, not terrible but could be better
- Passing security / combination reliability - he's creative so expect to see some passes, links ups not always working as it might
- Aerial / back-post contribution - not great in the air, not sure it's a massive concern

His best role for us will be either behind Hirst or on the left. Depend on Jaden's situ - I'm hoping is behind Hirst.

Best way to describe him is “I’ll make something happen” than “I’ll keep it ticking”.

If memory serves, he's also a confidence player - so form can dip quite sharply.

Overall, it seems a really good piece of business at £3m.

I think it was difficult to form a judgement about Mehmeti based upon Tuesday night, as he was operating in not such a strong team and against our defence (currently best in the division by some margin).

Once McKennerised and with the levels of ball-supply we provide, will be interesting to see what he can do.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I've actually seen him a few times for Brizzle (a City that is a regular haunt for me).

So, not based solely on Tuesday night.
