When we play then It will be almost exactly 38 years since the Dalian hat-trick game. Only 12k there that day. Fingers crossed for another 4-0.

38 years! Never seen two shots hit so hard as his first and second of the match.

Also against a first-rate centre-half pairing in Pallister and Mowbray.

Looks like Coventry are the ones to try and overtake now, barring a ‘Boro collapse. Hopefully we can show the heart to grind out some more aways wins like we did at Derby.

I was there, Dalian's performance that day changed my Dad ( not a Town fan) from taking me and my brother to Portman Road as a once a season treat to virtually every week.

As I mentioned the other day, at the same period in 2023 we all thought Plymouth were the team to catch as Sheffield Wednesday were too far gone.

Lots of football still to be played in this season.

38 years. I was there that day. Loved Dalian. Still think he was one of the finest players we had come through the youths. Power, pace, strength. On his day he was worth the entrance money alone. Was gutted when Duncan sold him because he just didn’t know how to handle him.

Think you're being a bit harsh on Duncan there. It was more we were skint but Sheffield Wednesday absolutely robbed us with the £450,000 fee, never liked them since.
