I am not a usual thread maker especially here in the general section but I'm after some immediate help.
My dad is currently in hospital and at a later stage of a very aggressive cancer likely caused by asbestos. It's been very sudden. At this point we just want to make him as comfortable as possible and he has asked if I can get hold of anything that could help with the pain/thoughts. At this point anything is worth a go.
I do not know too much about this space but my understanding is THC in the form of droplets, spray or gummies would be best.
Would anyone have access to any of these? I am willing to of course pay and to travel.

Sorry to hear that thoughts with you and your family. There should be a palliative care team in the hospital who specialises in managing symptoms including pain.
Not sure if your dad is on an oncology ward where they would know this, but if he is on another ward eg respiratory they may not be so aware of this and may need some prompting toward seeking specialist help. There was also a specific pain team in my hospital dedicated to managing pain.

I’m really sorry to hear this.
I have some experience with medical cannabis. The clinic I use is called CB1 Medical, and I’d highly recommend them in terms of service, fees and quick turnaround / delivery. To register with them (and presumably any other clinics), the process is quite straightforward: sign up with them online, provide some medical documentation (like an official letter or record from the GP/NHS outlining the condition and current medications), and then have a short call with one of their doctors. During that call, they talk you through the most appropriate product for the condition and the individual. For me, the whole thing - from signing up to placing and receiving my first order - took roughly 5 days.
They stock oils, gummies, and flower, and I’ve got on well with all of them. I think the oils are the most consistent and easiest to use - a couple of drops under the tongue throughout the day.
I’m not entirely sure whether it’s possible to arrange any of this on someone else’s behalf though, so it probably is best checking with the team caring for him to see if there’s a more suitable route (as the other replies have suggested).

Not really the case on the NHS I’m afraid. I work in medicines for NHS nationally. The three licensed uses are in rare epilepsies, MS-induced spasticity, and in some cases of chemotherapy induced nausea. Doctors in the NHS wouldn’t prescribe off-label here as too much of a professional risk.
Worth definitely exploring private providers though. There was 100,000+ prescriptions in private sector for cannabis based products last year, for a whole range of issues.
