First world problems and all that, but fck me the worlds airlines are making the most of the flight chaos currently impacting anyone hoping to fly via the gulf.

You kind of expect flights in the next day or two to be excessive - so looked st a flight in 3 weeks time and got quoted £2200 one way from Thailand, £1400 from Sri Lanka.

And insurance companies...speak to your airline and then your credit card company - in other words "fck off peasant, you think we're here to help?"

Scheduled airlines have always priced one way flights excessively high.

I can’t imagine those locations are affected by the current situation that far out. Most will be into their higher fare ‘buckets’ 3 weeks out too.
