Maybe it depends on where in Suffolk you went to school or when you went to school.

I learnt my version in Ipswich in the late 60s.

The issue I have with that song is that it is about 50 years old, and from recollection we borrowed it off either Arsenal or Spurs fans. Perhaps they still sing it too.

The Manchester clubs sing it as well, you will probably find that a lot of clubs sing this song.

Yes I knew I saw someone say it.

Would you feel better if I changed ‘they’ for ‘some’? Or I’ve seen it said?

Have a good day SB.

B.

I mentioned recently that to me, it would be more appropriate if 'Boxing day' was changed to 'Derby day' as we haven't played them in years on Boxing day. It makes me cringe every time I hear it.

Yeah, probably.

I do remember 'I put some water in Charlie's hat' but also heard 'I passed Scotland when I came home'.

"WubbleU"

And who remembers this from primary school in order to learn how to spell Ipswich?

I Put Some Water In Charlie's Hat.

Or for Suffolk.

I remember Ipswich being "I passed s* when i came home" but can't for the life of me remember what the word starting from S was
