| Questions to be answered by the Club 14:34 - Mar 24 with 764 views | NederlandseBlue | Was the private tour booking made in the name of a representative of, or someone who was in any way identifiable as being from, Reform (such as using a Reform email address)? Was the tour paid for in advance? Was the tour paid by an account from an individual or organisation clearly identifiable as being on behalf of Reform? Were any pre-tour security checks carried out in advance (as would be expected with a high-profile politician visit)? At what point did the Club become aware that this was a Reform booking and that NF would personally be in attendance? Is it standard practice for private tours to be met by the Club's Head of Media? If not, why was this done on this occasion? Was the private tour accompanied by any Club representatives, such as the Head of Media, or anyone other than someone who would normally conduct a private tour? If so, who? Is it allowed that private tour groups can replace Club shirts in the dressing room? If not, why was this allowed on this occasion? Were the personalised Club shirts gifted or purchased? If purchased, was it by an individual or organisation clearly identifiable as being on behalf of Reform? When were the personalised Club shirts purchased? And in bulk or individually? Where were the personalised Club shirts printed? And was it done in the Club shop? Was permission given to this tour group to use the Club's name and logo publicly, such as on social media? Does the club have the right to vet or prohibit the use of any photos or videos taken on a private tour from being used publicly? If so, why did the club not exercise its rights on this occasion? Were club sponsors notified in advance that their names and logos would be included? ...Any more? | |

I reckon the club are also doing there investigation as well as to how this has all gone about and will release a statement in due course. They don’t have to answer every single question about it. You’re letting your political beliefs/judgements affect your critical thinking as these questions don’t have to be answered by the club at all.

No. They do have to answer, if they want to regain the trust of supporters, having evaded and been silent all day so far. They could also still head it off with a clear statement that there is no endorsement and they did not work with Reform in any way to prepare the video and photos. Though the impact and integrity of such a statement is being reduced by each passing hour.

You have no idea about my political beliefs and these questions do not presume any answer as right or wrong. If the club answers them, they will be clear and transparent so that people can make their own choices based on facts rather than presumption. You are correct, they don't HAVE to answer anything. But if they want to reassure or calm this PR disaster they should. And the media should be asking them. Not answering will infer they have something to hide.

| Questions to be answered by the Club on 16:12 - Mar 24 with 368 views | Kev_W | I would add why did the club allow themselves to be involved in a local election campaign given their work/partnership with Ipswich Borough Council. The visit would have been bad enough at any time but did they not realise this was in the run up to the May elections. The club's current statement is wholly insufficient and their delay in explaining is making things worse by the hour. Honestly, transparency and apologies are needed and quickly. The club need to acknowledge that the vast majority of fans are aggrieved about this and that the issue will not go away with a bland statement to the EADT. | | | |

Extraoradiny isn't it? Would be bad enough had they made the bland evasive comments that TWTD and presumably other press have been briefed in the background. But there is not a single formal official comment at all. No quote, no information, no comment at all from the club.

| Questions to be answered by the Club on 17:25 - Mar 24 with 220 views | grow_our_own | Let's recap based on the club's 5pm statement. Was the private tour booking made in the name of a representative of, or someone who was in any way identifiable as being from, Reform (such as using a Reform email address)? Considering they "hosted" Reform, the answer is yes. Was the tour paid for in advance? I assume this question is to identify whether the club knew they were hosting Reform. The answer from the club statement is yes. Was the tour paid by an account from an individual or organisation clearly identifiable as being on behalf of Reform? Considering the club willingly hosted Reform, the answer is yes. Were any pre-tour security checks carried out in advance (as would be expected with a high-profile politician visit)? No answer At what point did the Club become aware that this was a Reform booking and that NF would personally be in attendance? They knew all along. Because they hosted Reform Is it standard practice for private tours to be met by the Club's Head of Media? If not, why was this done on this occasion? Because they hosted Reform. Was the private tour accompanied by any Club representatives, such as the Head of Media, or anyone other than someone who would normally conduct a private tour? If so, who? No answer Is it allowed that private tour groups can replace Club shirts in the dressing room? If not, why was this allowed on this occasion? This is no longer about the tour. It's about the club officially hosting Reform. Were the personalised Club shirts gifted or purchased? If purchased, was it by an individual or organisation clearly identifiable as being on behalf of Reform? Again fishing for "did the club know this was Reform?", the answer is yes. When were the personalised Club shirts purchased? And in bulk or individually? No answer Where were the personalised Club shirts printed? And was it done in the Club shop? Club shop knew, because the club officially hosted Reform. Was permission given to this tour group to use the Club's name and logo publicly, such as on social media? Yes, because the club officially hosted Reform. Does the club have the right to vet or prohibit the use of any photos or videos taken on a private tour from being used publicly? If so, why did the club not exercise its rights on this occasion? Of course they do, but they chose not to. Because they officially hosted Reform. Were club sponsors notified in advance that their names and logos would be included? No answer. This has gone from bad to worse. Does anyone know when the club has "hosted representatives from" other political parties like this? I've never heard of it. | | | |
