| A Final thought for the day 00:05 - Mar 25 with 892 views | pete81 | While digesting the absolute sh1tshow of the last 24 hours really do feel for some of the people behind the scenes at ITFC - notably in the Foundation. Just 48 hours after the Charities biggest day of the year to show off so much of the great work they do in the community, notably with disadvantaged people, the disability football groups through to the dementia cafes. As a parent of a child who has been supported immeasurably through the work of the Foundation and so many passionate people in their jobs. Hardly a thread over the weekend on here celebrating the Foundation day and all the positives. Today has been a cesspit thanks to a major P.R fail in giving that cretin and his party so much attention. But from me Thanks again to ITFC FOUNDATION and all the great work and amazing staff you have and to all those that benefit from there efforts every week. | | | | |

I’m glad your child has received support and a big well done to those involved. The work of all those involved deserves highlighting.

This indeed. Wouldn't have thought many of the superfans while smacking the club with the sh1tstick (although fairly in some respects) would have had a clue let alone stuck there hands in there pockets about Foundation day on Saturday

You are right. I notice that some have upvoted, but nobody bar the accidental downvoter has commented on your post(s), both of which are correct and interesting. I can only presume that for some, it is not important to them. For me it is. People from the Foundation doing stuff like this is far more important than feeding a troll of a politician. He represents the worst of the breed and I’ve seen plenty of the rest of the lizards up close to know that none of them are worth more than minimal thought. Those that believe that the club’s actions or inactions on Farage completely undo the good work the club does on things like this are in my view completely wrong. It doesn’t. This sort of thing doesn’t happen by accident. They don’t have to put the effort they do into it or things like the annual tribute to those supporters who’ve passed away. This is club in the community in action. Perspective and balance. Real stuff. [Post edited 25 Mar 8:20]

Thrash the keyboards in their underpants and rage. You can be deeply unpleasant at times, and a shame you’ve hijacked such a positive thread @Pete, great post and glad to hear the support your family are receiving from the foundation.

I suggest you re read my posts. I’m very supportive of the OP and what he has said and have not hijacked anything. But as you feel I have I will delete that phrase as it’s not the intention.

Yesterday messaged a family member who is back for Easter weekend asking if they were up for a ticket for Easter Monday. Got a reply today questioning going after yesterday's revelations. Yes said family member is a leftie Guardian reader but why have we got ourselves into this mess, should it matter? For me ITFC is Like a family member, your born with it and loyal to the end. You don't pick it up and drop it and you feel the need to defend it when it's under attack, guess that's why I'm looking to highlight the positives of the Foundation with this all going on!
