I tend to push back on the apartheid Israel narrative as Arab Israelis have equal rights in society and hold senior roles in politics, the army, the police and judiciary.

However, this law is nothing else other than apartheid. It’s disgusting. The people behind it, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, are an utter stain on Israeli politics and are only given the power they have by Bibi so he can avoid jail. The sooner they are out in the next election the better.

Just 20,000 votes in the other direction at the last election would have seen Bibi out. It’s a tragedy all round that didn’t happen. The country is as deeply divided as the USA. In both cases, the extremists took power.
