While we are all riding the highs of the weekend I feel now is the perfect time to correct myself.

Earlier in the season I questioned Dara O'Shea as captain. I said he wasn't a leader and the armband was a burden on him that restricted his natural game. I suggested that we should have Leif or Azon as captain - I was wrong.

Dara O'Shea has been outstanding the last few games. He's led the team with quiet authority. His defending has been exceptional and showing the passion to keep his peers motivated. His handling of the Nunez situation was exceptional in a highly charged situation where he quietly steered Nunez away from trouble to calm the situation before talking to the ref.

Dara O'Shea is the right man to be leading our team into the Premier League.

My pessimism requires a few more points before I concede on that one - but will happily apologise when the time is right!

Hell of a lot has changed in a weekly, plus he did preface his post before writing I saying he was getting it off his chest and many wouldn't agree. Don't see the need for a dig when the bloke has come on here to admit he was wrong.
