Well done Coventry. Just goes to show how a settled squad can help enormously against ours that had to be rejigged due to losing the midfield and a top striker who we never replaced along with Hutchinson.
I bet Hackney was pleased he didn't come to us and he's in the Prem and we are in no way guaranteed.
We should get there. But we know how in and out this squad is.
Should the worst happen and we fail KM needs to seriously look at how fragile this squad is and get in a few more robust players.

Had a ridiculously brilliant start and never looked back. Couldn’t score against us, though

Albeit we went towards to toe with Leeds at Portman Road, the games against Coventry reminded me of those games from 23/24, as should serve as a warning for City when it comes to next season.

But well done to them; they've been clearly the best team across the year and fully deserve it. And, for some of the criticism, I think Lampard has proven himself to be a good manager. He had issues at Everton, yes, though the fans still seemed to like him, but other managers have had bad spells too. Look at Moyes at Sunderland.

Lampard doesn't always come across as likeable, but he clearly has actual talent and was prepared to take on jobs at Champ sides vying for promotion (Derby, then Cov) and Prem strugglers (Everton). Chelsea you can understand as it was the team he played for the most.

I still retain a lot of sympathy for Cov themselves after the travails of the last couple of decades. Being rooked by dubious owners, losing their ground, nearly going under, dropping all the way to L2.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Hackney plays for Boro.

Congrats to Cov, well deserved and good for the city after such a long time out of the top flight. Cant say their fans don’t deserve it after what they’ve been through as a club.

Proper football club, and Lampard seems a good bloke. Good for them.
