At Portman Road the geography of the fanzone is problematic. We don't really want to be encouraging away fans to go to the opposite corner of the stadium, particularly with how congested it gets behind the North Stand before kick off.
I agree that is was good at Southampton. I was able to meet up with a couple of friends who live locally (one Southampton, one incognito Ipswich) and have a couple of beers before the game in the fanzone. |  | | |

I really hope not! Thats nearly as bad as fans mixing behind the stand during a game like at Fulham last season. Maybe I'm old school, but I like the tribal nature of football and on a game day I want to be fully focussed on my team and not have to mix with opposition fans. If thats want people want to do they can find a pub that let both in, but its a no from me
And how would you decide what games are suitable or not. Imagine for a moment them opening the fanzone to that lot up the road or some other clubs - would be pure bedlam and it would be way too difficult to control and manage | | | |

Also the external food outlets around the ground were better than ours. Probably because Southampton's time in the Premiership had a more expensive palette. The fanzone was livelier than ours especially with the live band. | |
