Brady however, is operating at executive level at that organisation and as such has a responsibility for culture, and to safeguard the employees of the club. She has, along with her leadership colleagues, failed miserably to execute that responsibility. Can you imagine someone in the position of needing to report sexual harassment at WHU with that structure and arrangement in place? It’s a complete failure of corporate governance. |
Of course. There is obvious accountability and responsibility issues that should quite rightly be fired in the direction of Brady and the rest of the executive team. But also, Sullivan has a history of being seemingly able to act with impunity in positions of power. Over the years, women have been systematically silenced or dismissed in misogynistic business environments when trying to to uphold good ethics or voicing complaints about abuse of power, etc. It's nothing new. "There, there, fragile, emotional woman". I've experienced plenty of that in my working years. That's not to say that women don't have a moral responsibility to speak up. We do. We should, and we must speak up, but when there is only heresay and no solid evidence, it is very hard to feel empowered to do it, without collateral damage. [Post edited 10 Jun 20:35]
