Well, that half time interview will have done his PR no end of good if he wants a managerial move post WC.

I'm not suggesting it makes him a good manager, but it def went down well with the public.

The ITV pundits lapped it up. Everything new mgr says and does will be compared to professor KM. Barry seems to have a more manic, demonstrative way of talking than ever-measured KM. But maybe he was just nervous making his debut on prime time TV to > 15 million viewers.

Agreed with Barry about England over-complicating in the first half. We were trying to intricately pass through an energetic Croat press in the early game and causing trouble for ourselves. Much better second half.

I though his interview was excellent, came across very well.

I'm not afraid of change.

We were hopeless in the Prem last time. Onwards and upwards.

I thought Anthony Barry was great at half time and clearly explained the situation perfectly. The club finds itself in a really tricky spot here if he is somebody that we've identified to take over.

We would normally always say that it's best to get the right man for the job instead of just settling for an available manager, but how long can you realistically afford to wait this summer before it's detrimental to us? I personally believe you need a manager in place that's ready to take charge of pre-season on day 1 and that certainly rules him out for me, unfortunately.
