I thought that was a pen.

But I do think VAR at this world cup is such an improvement on the EPL. Refs mainly sent to the monitor for a proper fck up rather than every marginal call, the quick offside calls, the ultra quick corner decisions.

They’ve got stuff wrong obvs, but it feels much better.

Bet we go back to the same shite domestically.

Slightest of touches on the ball, otherwise that's a def pen for me (in which case it should have been a corner). You're right that generally it's been less intrusive. I'm all for that even if the odd one is wrong. We will 100% go back to hapless officiating because we have hapless officials lol

Yep, it wasn't obvious in real time was it. I was convinced it was a pen. It just shows that the officiating can work.

Definitely not a penalty for me as even without the little touch the Canadian attacker deliberately puts his leg between the defenders leg than makes contact.
