There's a lot of talk of the subs coming on and making a difference, and England's wide players looking better off the bench, but to your point about the parallels with us there's a job for the starters to beat them up a bit. Its like Philogene & Clarke where we often saw the replacement coming in and looking more dangerous than the starter, then clamours for them to start the next game. When the game is getting stretched its always going to be easier to come on and make an impact, like Rashford did against Croatia or Gordon last night. I think we just need to get the balance right with the starters and finishers, its going to be incredibly important in the next game at that altitude, the changes on 60 - 65 are going to be vital. I don't think we can afford to be behind with 20 minutes to go on Monday, they'll 'manage' the game out better on their own patch and the housery will be next level. We need a fast start, get in at half time at worst level. | |
