Yeah, I'd always assumed Herb Alpert was Mexican but checking Wikipedia I find that he was born in Los Angeles to Jewish Ukrainian parents. These two are definitely Mexican:

Didn't know that, but I posted the song because of the band being called 'Tijuana Brass' (and then the song title). Disappointingly, there's no separate section for the band itself and its members in Wiki, but it does say
"Alpert ... took a break to visit a bullfight in Tijuana, Mexico. As (he) later recounted, "That's when it hit me! Something in the excitement of the crowd, the traditional mariachi music, the trumpet call heralding the start of the fight, the yelling, the snorting of the bulls, it all clicked."[22]
(Maybe I might have liked his music a bit less if I'd known from the beginning it was so influenced by bullfighting ...)
