With the signings now coming in, it's a great statement of intent to any future, even bigger name signings. Getting in Emersonn, van Oevelen, then Maeda, Fatawu, Diop, Morita and potentially Scherpen - that really signals intent to be competitive in the PL.
We need 3 or 4 more signings, some of which may be bigger names with a number of options open to them. So to get these ones over the line may create a snowball effect that helps to get the biggest ones done. Onwards and upwards.

It also shows the somewhat different way ITFC are regarded this time around. Unlike the extended quest for Ioannidis two summers ago, with him ultimately turning us down, players are actually signing deals.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I think that's right, and all part of the growth of the club as a 'name', as a valid club to play for. Alongside, of course, players moving on to bigger and better things like Delap and Hutchinson and I suppose even Murica. Shows we're prepared to buy good international players, build them and sell them on. Get the conveyor belt going.

Really pleased with the business so far, and getting it done early so they have time as a squad.

Darkforce is gonna be stewing!

That's a good point. Attracting young players with a really high ceiling, so that if they shine for us they can get their move to a big 6 club irrespective of how we do as a club.

2 seasons ago we were Ipswich Town who had been out of the PL 20 years, we were a nothing club to many players.

Now, yes we suffered relegation, but we returned to the Prem and makes players look at us more positively.

I imagine we will see the wages on offer are massively different this time round too.

As much as I thought the guy was excellent and will always be grateful for what he did to turn the club around, i'm mightily relieved that players of this calibre are signing after McKenna has left.

Life does go on.
