This would be an incredible signing for us!!

Good age at 27, starter for Senegal since 2022, played at the top level in Belgium and France his entire career.

Has the versatility to play RB or RWB which would be perfect for GON. I’d worry about Sunderland, as this for sure their kind of deal and he’d have Senegal team mates and European football which would obviously appeal.

Although they did just get Thomas Meunier.

The Everton mention is also worry as they don’t really have an out and out right back, the Irish lad is more of a RCB and they’d have a hefty budget for wages. So we wouldn’t be favorites for his signature if they both wanted him.

Tell you what though if there was a player to smash the wages on giving it’s a free transfer, this would be appealing. Imagine our defense suddenly having Morocco’s starting CB and Senegal’s starting RB come in. He looked very solid at the World Cup. Would be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Last season, he had 20 appearances but he wasn’t getting guaranteed starting minutes at Monaco and he wanted that for his international career. Shouldn’t be a problem at Portman Road. We’ve been mentioned by a few other French journalists on this one today as well.

Used to be more of a winger but played more defensively in recent years, for sure would work in a 5 but even played in a back 4 this summer.

Do it Mark!
