I don't know the first thing about Palacios as a person... 09:25 - Aug 10 with 3540 viewsiaijn

...and I'm aware of my own bias here - he's a member of the Argentinian national team, which hasn't the best reputation atm. But...I'm nervous that a billy-big-b@ll@cks would be the last thing the squad needs when things are inevitably not going well at times this season. We're already aware that someone like Cunha who thinks he's bigger than the club could be a chink in GO'N's armour.

Oh well, probably not gonna happen anyway, but I'll actually be relieved.

Is it? How many "bad apples" have we had in the Gamechanger era so far?

Szmodics is the only one I can immediately think of (and then in one specific area, not attitude on the pitch) - he was sidelined, then moved out pretty quickly.

Thinking back to some of the "characters" we had during Evans' ownership, the club has been remarkably thorough in its vetting.

More of a reference to"the incident" tbh

If he signs for us, I'm sure when he first scores he'll rip off his shirt and reveal a T-shirt with the words on it.

"Las Malvinas son Argentinos."

Nah, He'd run straight to the North Stand and unveil a banner declaring "Gorleston belongs to Suffolk".

Dude, he’s a World Cup winner and went an entire season unbeaten in the Bundesliga. It’s an absolute privilege for a club like us to be linked with him. If this is the calibre of players we’re going to be signing this window, we don’t need to worry about his character in a relegation dog fight, because we’ll be nowhere near it.

Yes, but that was him, not the players we hired. Unfortunately, Ashton's own immediate oversight/guidance is more distant than when O'Leary was Chairman.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

The offer we made was reportedly not considered relevant by Leverkusen. Furthermore, Palacios does not envision his future at a club like the promoted side Ipswich.

Never going to happen. I expect he'll be gramatically correct and make the adjective agree to the feminine Malvinas: Las Malvinas son argentinas.

Well spotted.

Played the humongous total of 90 minutes at the World Cup, absolutely nothing to do with the dark goings on, didn't get booked in that time either.
