Do other teams need a player of that standard in that position, i.e. is there a vacancy at all, do they already have someone as good or better?

The large price-tag is likely to put off Coventry and Hull, maybe some of the other lower-end Prem clubs too.

Ipswich are willing to pay for a position we think important and are prepared to risk his injury record for the benefit to our prospects.

I have selected yes, but could be a different player with very similar attributes. ie. Box to box ball carrying midfielder who can split defences with accurate passing and awareness skills.

That's always worried me. He just feels a little bit too much out of our reach, yet there's a reason why he is within our reach. If he wants to be a stepping stone signing... pretty sure there are more established clubs that can offer him a season without a relegation battle.
After Kalvin Phillips I'm a little wary of these super-marquee signings
Embolo seems a signing within our reach and makes sense.
