… is that of course they are not for or capable of governing

Either at council or national level

Right wing media and social media have a lot to answer for that we have allowed the charlatan Farage to shape our politics and public opinion.

Who’d have thought a party led by an autocratic narcissist would attract autocratic narcissists, eh? Good on those who’ve found the nerve to quit and speak out, but they’re still not joining the dots. Thinking Farage could step in and sort out what they think is a just a one-off problem with the council leader .

There are similar stories from a lot of their councils. It’s a cultural Reform problem reflecting how Farage has always been: grandstanding on his populism, a pretty unpleasant and hateful/divisive guy and not really interested in doing the work.

Amusingly this is how random and ad-hoc the vetting process for Reform local councillors - one of the protestors who signed up to gain access to the condensed, was asked before the protest to become a Reform councillor

You really couldn’t make it up!!
