In a few hours, 4 of us will get to St. Bees where we start a 192 mile stroll across the Lakes, Dale's and NY moors to Robin Hoods Bay.

As an added bonus, won't be on here much for the next 3 weeks...at least during the day.. Taking 3 weeks with 3 rest days built in...

All funds raised to the absolutely brilliant RNLI, can't think of a better charity.

Yep,quite a few mountain bikers out today. The winds were brutal and I dodged most of the rain (last 5 mins)

I do a lot of running on the moors. Bloworth crossing is particularly bleak expecially with this wind, and the old railway line to the Lion goes on, and on...but there is a beautiful openess and often solitude on the moors. enjoy the last couple of days of your walk.

Short one to Glaisdale today, just 2 more days now.

Lovely weather and the Moors went from blowy as to a gorgeous autumnal day perfect for a walk...

Back to the Lion Inn for grub which was far nicer on a quiet afternoon compared to the chaos of a busy Sunday.

Careful throwing your pebble in, the ramp at the Bay Hotel can be slippery.

I guess you were on the track when Burnham made his speech yesterday but early on he mentioned Hillsborough and he has firmed up his stance regarding one particular tabloid:

'Andy Burnham has told the BBC he will not do any "special interviews" with the Sun newspaper and spoke of his "responsibilities" to the Hillsborough families...The prime minister said he would not go into his "precise media arrangements" after being asked to confirm previous reports that he was shunning the tabloid newspaper - but said his position had been "confirmed"...Burnham, who has written for other newspapers previously, was asked whether he would "write for the Sun"..."I'm not going to go into my precise media arrangements, but it's clear what my position is," he said...When pressed, he said: "I won't be doing any special interviews, no."'

All done n dusted. Dipped our boots, threw in my pebble and had a pint in Wainwright's bar. We were the first to sign today's book (in the bar) and saw a few others c2crs coming in as we headed off...

Thanks to all who donated, think we got to £750 all including the gift aid.
