Similarities between Palace last year and this year. New manager trying to get them to play as he did at Lens, but lots of similarities with Glasner's style. We go there ready to give everything, full of optimism and intensity.
Never managed a win as a manager at Palace, that doesn't mean anything. Group confident but have respect for Palace, won a European competition last year. Fourth game and fourth team in European competition. | | | |

Scherpen no part to play in the 5-2 at Old Trafford, against Liverpool, parts in the goal when Kjell and others have to do better. Save from Szoboszlai special. New league, no problem with how he has settled. Good goalkeeping group here. Pleased with where they're at. | | | |

But same with us, different manager and different league. Confident we're in a good enough spot to compete with Palace and aim is to come back following a performance which looks like what we've planned.

At Old Trafford we did well in those spells. It was only when he became more open. Will be less aggressive in those games. In terms of points totals, not going to get drawn into that outside narrative. We're just looking at three points Saturday, then review with the players afterwards. Partnerships which have impressed you? A few out there Emmy's really impressed me, him with Julio as a 10. Expected Emersonn to take a while and as we didn't sign another number nine later, meant he played more than we expected. But he's done exceptionally well. All the players understanding what we're trying to be and the level of understanding they've shown has been very good. We've just got to work on how we cope in difficult spells. Can't microwave team developing, takes time in all areas of the team. All going to need work, doing lots of tactical work on grass. | | | |
