| So who makes the bench and who prepares for Arsenal 18:42 - Sep 11 with 987 views | unstableblue | With only Taylor left to return - that 27 squad into 20 squad places becomes a slight conundrum. With 6 missing out at Selhurst Park. As GON agrees having the Arsenal cup game helps the squad spirits by giving those who miss out a game to be involved with. Note: I assume all 27 still travel to be part of matchday. So what’s the bench at Selhurst Park and who is missing out. Phil is going for unchanged from Liverpool, I think that might be the case. And unlike other Lukic and Palacios should be enough alone to win the midfield and silence Wharton. Palacios is a top quality players. And can hold, break up, as well as go forward. Same for Lukic. Palace have conceded a lot of goals and give away a lot of XG. But are second for big chances missed. They attack more down their left side, giving some credence to Ouatarra replacing Fatawu. Starting 11: Scherpen OShea Diop Greaves Davis Lukic Palacios Fatawu Enciso Maeda Emerson Subs Walton Furlong Kipre Florentino Ouatarra Clarke Jaden McAteer Flemming Leaving out Palmer, Nunez, Egeli, Matusiwa, Akpom, Mehmeti Team for Arsenal: Walton Furlong OShea Kipre Ouatarra Matusiwa Floretino McAteer Egeli Jaden Flemming | |

Yeah good point - imagine he starts on Tuesday after his cup heroics. In either Matusiwa place or Egeli. Do think Egeli deserves a start. Matusiwa to be held back as a sub as he’s on the way back. I’m pretty sure Town we’ll be unchanged from Liverpool tomorrow though.

I think overall Greaves has been pretty good this season. And has made many key interventions. The glaring errors have been ahead of him. Blaming him for the second against Liverpool, as some have, is a real stretch. Anyway, he’s far more suited to the Prem and that position than Kipre. Who do you suggest replaces him?

I’ve been thinking that this is the most competitive Town squad I can ever remember. All over the pitch you could argue that someone else could start. And to the Greaves form discussion, I’d say he and Davis have the least competition for their starting spots across the whole team. Kipre is miles off being ready for what is being demanded in our left sided centre back role. And Daragh and Diop are right sided. Palacios is the other player who I expect to become irreplaceable if he stays fit.
