Thought it was strange I couldn't see him in the huddle photo yesterday. Hopefully just a precaution. |

It seems that the bump in cash from Prem promotion last season is allowing the womens team to recruit from levels above. How does this work with FFP? I believe any revenue gained from the womens team currently counts as profit towards it for the club overall, but any money spent on womens football doesn't not count towards it. |
| Forum Thread | Twitter thread of Muric's PL games last season at 17:27 13 Jul 2024
A good thread this with 1-2m highlights of each of the games and only Muric action. Only need to watch a few of these to see he is good with his feet, plays 'high' at times like Hladky and has a spectacular long pass on him

Hull want close to £20m, according to the 'tentative' report we have offered less than the reported £10m All seems a bit pointless unless we have put our bid on and sitting on it hoping there is no actual other real interest out there and Hull come down to meet us. |

Greek journo Whats that? £18.5m? Looks like a higher level George Hirst so stylistically would have fit but you never know if Towns name is gonna be linked by agents to bump the price or if its genuine. [Post edited 15 Jun 2024 14:57]

| Forum Thread | How difficult will it be to entice players to come to PR? at 16:30 12 Jun 2024
Pros = we've got super Kieran McKenna Cons = we will be relegation favourites with almost everyone. It's why I don't think that signing Omari solely comes down to the fact he has been here before so will obviously join us over someone like Stuttgart. It's going to be very difficult to persuade established premier league players to come to us initially. Much like Kieran admitted in that interview, it was much easier to get players to come when they could see the body of evidence and style of play and he said it was difficult to get players in that first transfer window. Maybe i'm wrong but I feel our best business will be done at the top end of the championship and potentially overseas. |
| Forum Thread | Ahadme, Ladapo & Camara at 14:10 10 May 2024
All no longer in our plans you would assume, but i'm guessing all now on Premier League wages and will be harder to sell. Could it be we end up giving them away for free to try and facilitate a transfer? Actually i'm not aware of Camaras contract situation, it may well be we have an option only which may not be taken up. |
| Forum Thread | Any upgrades to stadia needed for the Prem? at 15:24 5 May 2024
I know Luton had to spend a lot on their dump but i'd have thought improvements for us would be mostly behind the scenes in terms of media/interview press rooms etc. |
| Forum Thread | KVY released by Wycombe at 21:17 2 May 2024
Due to injury concerns apparently. Feel sorry for the lad, what could have been. Shows the change in fortune for us that at one point he would probably have considered one of our biggest assets pre-gamechanger. |
| Forum Thread | FFP and the January window at 13:21 13 Nov 2023
Thread inspired by the latest blue monday pod. I personally think we are close to the limit of FFP and cannot 'splash the cash' too much but I hadn't thought of the 2/3 scenarios presented. 1. We 'go for it' knowing these opportunities don't come along often and splash out 15-20m on players with the knowledge we can always sell on an asset like Leif Davis should we fail to rebalance our FFP 2. We frontload signing on fee promises to players, with our league position we are now attractive and could offer high promotion bonus clauses to get players to PR 3. You can get loan players at clubs to be recalled by their parent club and sent to clubs further up the chain. e.g Jay Stansfield at Birmingham So, do we 'go for it' ? Upside is we may hold onto assets like Leif Davis/McKenna himself if we go up. Downside if we don't is we'll have to sell assets and hamstring us in terms of spending for a few seasons. |
