Haven't seen it mentioned yet but the changes he made over the last 15-20 minutes very nearly came off.
It took a few minutes to get the personnel on the pitch, and to get the note passed around, but to go three at the back, and leaving Luis virtually alone in the centre to go two up top, was very brave.
The mindset was clearly that he would rather lose 3-0 having a bloody good go, than camp on the edge of our box to hold onto 1-0.
He clearly has a lot of faith in his players.

100% agree, we were very unlucky not to score after those subs having ridden a storm where Everton should have put the game to bed.

Looked like we went 3-5-1 after going down to 10 men (which is what Palace did to us, and seemed to work in their favour too)
Actually thought we looked the likelier side to score, and even more so when we brought Flemming and Akpom on (couldn't quite work that out, but possibly 2-5-2 with the widemen playing quite high up the pitch) |  |

Yes, I think that is definitely a thing. I noticed GON signalled 1 minute to Emersonn at Palace before he went down too. Zian is warmed up but slow to put his shirt on for the unexpected substitution. It gives us time to take refreshments and have a team talk within the new rules.
Having a "Right Good Go" is preferred to "Running Towards Adversity". Nothing wrong with the latter, just we could do without the adversity of going down to 10 men. |  | | |

Also, another thing I liked about today’s game by MalcolmBlue 19 Sep 17:29Other than Ouattara’s performance. The other aspect of today’s game I liked was O’Neil bringing on two strikers when we were down to 10 men and chasing the game. As much as I love and admire KMc, I’m not sure we would’ve seen a bold call like that even if we had the squad depth to do it.
