Is that why no charges were brought against the pensioner who killed a burglar? Surely this is a good example of the system working well.

As for the sentencing, 18 months for downloading images is not unreasonable. He did not take the photos or sell them, and so this should be reflected in his sentence.

In any event, you can’t draw conclusions from one case about the entire justice system. That would be absurd.
