He could have spoken to Hurst (if number one target) before and probably had him in place a few months back with time to assess his squad...
I mean I didn’t say this at the time, well maybe not every day...

Just as I thought we were turning a corner, could it all fantastically fall back down to earth with a bang.

I really hope we don’t miss out on these exciting targets because ME wouldn’t pay two sets of managerial wages for a very minimal amount of time (in grand scheme of things)

The trouble is several clubs are now looking for managers after letting theirs go at the end of the season. It's not a good time to be shopping. Probably best to wait until say September or October. It'll be quieter then, and we may even be able to pick one up cheaper in the sales
