"You know what is best for your child. Your child is not an animal. The herd is not your concern."

That one line highlights the issue here. In the vast majority of cases the parent doesn't know what is better for their child than medical science.

Also, if the herd isn't ones concern then using the herd-funded NHS when something does go wrong would seem a little hypocritical.

I guess it is Hopkins after all though so I didn't expect it to make sense.
