In our situation we should be talking about Lambert's future 17:00 - Jan 4 with 434 viewspointofblue

Instead our esteemed owner decided to give him a contract extension.

A Wembley final might have been a bright spark in what is a season at a level where we should never be that. He has even failed to see us gain a victory against Exeter reserves.

I know the Trophy match was not the be all and end all but with our dismal recent record it was a chance to get the winning habit back ready for next week. As it is, just as we think we've hit rock bottom we seemingly have further to go.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

It’s Evans’ club (85% of it) and he can do what he wants.

When you’re putting in £6-10m a year of your money just to keep it going then you can dictate how it’s run.

You’re obviously entitled to a view (as am I) but we don’t take the financial risk. If it doesn’t work out then Evans will be hit hard again financially.

I don't know what he's thinking, though? What does he think Lambert is achieving at the club to be worth a new contract, to save Evans further loss in cash? Because at the moment we're sinking.

How do you know that Evans doesn’t have the right to terminate the contract early?
