OK - so, some interesting (conflicting) guidance from 111 today 14:16 - Mar 16 with 851 views | homer_123 | I've spoken with two friends today. The first has an eight year old with a fever of 38.9 last night, called 111 and has been told to self-isolate the child for 7 days. They then asked if any of the rest of the family should self-isolate and the answer was no. Their two other kids have gone off to school. Mum stays at home and Dad gone off to work. Second friend who I spoke with has told me that their friends daughter has Covid-19 and is in self-isolation but, again, the rest of the family are not and are at school and at work as per 111 guidance. Is this to be expected, anyone else heard or experienced this. Is this the Herd approach that was discussed? I absolutely believe the first friend - know them very well. I know the second friend extremely well as well but that's third hand and therefore not as reliable? Seems contradictory to me - be very interested to know if anyone else has heard similar etc?

OK - so, some interesting (conflicting) guidance from 111 today on 14:43 - Mar 16 with 738 views | rkc123 | Yes this seems to be the advice. A friend who works for a Learning Disability care provider was told that one of the management team in the area is in isolation in hospital and awaiting test results for Covid-19, yet all other managers in the area who have been in contact with this person have been advised they do not need to self-isolate. Just seems crazy to me.
