RIP, passed away yesterday after a short illness.

Brilliant old school music hall comedian, the News Huddlines were superb.

Up and mainly down, following Town since 88

A perfect Gent, Met him a couple of times at and coming home from Liverpool street, loved a conversation and always had a smile.

Just read it on the BBC website before I came back on here, made me realise how much I miss the News Huddlines - they were pretty cutting edge for the time as far as radio goes.

I met him at Liverpool Street too, on the way back from Plymouth after a New Year's Day (?) game some years back. He'd been doing a show in London. Was happy to chat. Palace fan if I remember rightly.

Very nicely kept garden at his Suffolk home, I seem to remember my wife pointing out once as well. RIP.

Still available to listen to every week on a couple of internet radio stations.

Google Pumpkin fm and rok radio.

Jam packed full of retro comedies from the 50’s to the noughties.

Will be getting plenty of hours listening in, during the next few months!
