Only a short one, but touch on time at Ipswich together.
Wordsworth came on trial here to see if he could play in a 442 and signed off the back of that, was told he wouldn't play at the start as Hyam and Skuse are the guys.
Said that Mick was a very honest manager, even when you weren't playing you could never hate him as respected him a lot and the honesty is what he would take away - and similar with Nouble.
I started Sunderland Till I Die at the weekend and they had many interviews with Johnny Williams. He is a very honest young chap and they asked him about managers that allowed him to play at his best by giving him the encouragement and support he craved. He named Chris Coleman (his international boss and the man that had just taken over at Sunderland), he also named Mick McCarthy and said he was great. Williams has presumably had a lot of managers on his time but it really shows what good managers do for the players
