Think he was a little unlucky too. I certainly don't think he looked worse than anyone else, including some players we gave extended runs to.

I think I’m many ways he was victim of our large squad . There’s simply too many players at the Club ( and there still is ) . You have be able to impose yourself to get seen above the masses. If you don’t get an opportunity of when you do you have the misfortune not “ click “ with the other 10 newly rotated players into the team for that game , then you’re luck’s out.

PL is going to have the same problem again this season if he doesn’t try to shift Out some players.
Also if you’re a player looking for a club , would look at a Club with a squad of 40odd players and think ... “ hmmm a lot of competition for a starting place there!”
