Let's face it. 13:50 - Feb 17 with 249 viewsBlueBadger

We all know Evans is at the root of our problems at Town but let's not forget that Lambert has been considerably better supported than his most competent predecessor-bar-one was and this hasn't been the first time he's tried the 'it's not my fault, it's the owner's' gambit in order to deflect from his own lack of ability and/or willingness to actually do his job.

Don't forget he hinted at it when he first came and and he was doing it again when the last vestiges of his 'PR Paul' persona were still hanging on just before he got his new contract.

Evans' lack of enthusiasm for doing anything about our systemic problems at Town do not in any way excuse HIS failings as a coach, tactician or man-manger.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Another important factor;

Lamberts predecessors had one of the lowest wage budgets in their league to compete with.

Lambert has one of the highest (if not the highest) wage budgets in his league.
