I have a clear memory of one his last games, a 1-0 loss at Cardiff in which he abnegated his defensive responsibilities to such a level that I wondered how Dan Harding refrained from punching him. The poor sod constantly had two attackers coming at him because Roberts wouldn’t track back. Inevitably the goal ended up coming down that side.
