I can’t wait to get going again, praying for some more warm dry weather.
Just went to get Thai takeaway (which was fantastic.) It’s franchised out and I chatted to the pub owner, he sounded shattered, didn’t feel he had the energy or staff to open the garden, Enterprise want extra rent when he re-opens (I’m assuming he’s had rent holiday.) He said, after 25 years at the same pub, finally having evenings he thinks that’s it for him. He’ll be one of many.
We do have someone currently fighting our corner. He went to the government for the evidence for hospitality not fully opening at the same time as shops. Sounds like there was next to nothing, evidence included was a night club in South Korea. I’ve been watching with interest - the judge has seen the evidence and marked it as urgent. So maybe we we’ll see some changes. He successfully challenged the food must be consumed rule, hence why you can go for just a drink this time round (he won.)
