Some very similar thoughts some of us had those final couple of seasons.

Well he did warn people. After Hull down here he said I will never be the kind of manager that just goes for it. Even when it was a risk free hit. He will grind out as many points as possible but he won't gamble sure points for potentially more points even if it means finishing eight instead of potentially sixth.

Clearly a good manager but that Hull game still irks me.

Truly impaired.

4 managers ago. Respectfully; who cares? Maybe that’s why it’s “quiet” on that front.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Oh it wasnt quiet up until he got his new cardiff contract when things were going swimmingly. Despite being 4 managers ago people were bringing him up daily. So thought for balance its good for those people to see how it seems to Cardiff fans now the honeymoon period has gone.

About half of the site? Split into two groups trying to rewrite history in their preferred narrative.

And that’s why his Premier League experience is fairly sparse. An unwillingness to gamble or compromise his style has hindered his career. As you mentioned, a good manager who can sniff out a bargain and make players much better but maybe too one dimensional for the Premier League.

Cardiff let me down for £50 yesterday, found it highly assuming MM did that to me

Cardiff losing 1-0 instead of winning 1-0 cost someone the Super Six jackpot.

Let's hope that Cook does as well here as MM did, we might have something to look forward to.

If we're talking hope then I hope he does a lot better than Mick.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Mick is a better manager than any of those that have followed him including the current one. But he's moved on from us and us from him.

He has done a good job at Cardiff who I dont think have a stand out squad in that division.

That would be nice but if this season is written off, as our resident expert says that it is, we have to wait at least two and a bit years for that to be put to the test.

Ha. Asking Mick to go gung ho. Good luck with that.

That's pretty quick to start questioning him. It took our fans about 3 years to realise the football was grim.

MM is a very good manager but he's also pretty one dimensional

His side's will always struggle in the Premier League where you need to be a bit more dynamic

The difference between him and a Pullis or an Allardyce and perhaps even Bruce is they are a bit more adaptable and probably a bit more creative when it comes to things like set piece routines and systems

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
