I've suspected for a long time that Woolfie, Downes, Bishop and Doz had been together too long, back each other up, covered for each other and hadn't pulled their weight.
It could be that what Cook is seeing in training tells him that they aren't really ready to die for the badge. "Ship 'em all out" we said, what we should have said is, "Ship em all out except our youth".
As has been discussed here multiple times over the season, our youth players have flattered to deceive for a long time, without really progressing, 22 isn't a youth player anymore, its a seasoned pro. And, if this story is true, this points to a poisonous culture at the club, which many of us have suspected for a long time.
