And as an anaesthetist I assume his day job is ridiculously busy too. We're friends with one here in Swansea and she's always on the go.

I also hadn't appreciated how the emergency responders relied on volunteers, in much the same way as the RNLI do I suppose.

He's not just an anaesthetist, he's an ITU consultant as well. And he also volunteers for HEMS as well. The man is a genuine legend. I swear the man reverses cardiac arrests just by turning up, sometimes.
