Assistant Manager 10:11 - Jul 30 with 561 views

Enjoyed watching the fans forum there was so much to be positive about, best I have felt about the club since we first dropped into the Championship. The only answer that gave me any cause to pause and think was Paul Cook saying that having been so close to Leam Richardson he didn't really feel that I need to appoint someone as an assistant. I couldn't help thinking back to Clough and Taylor (must watch the Damned United again), where the high-profile and vocal Clough couldn't quite achieve the same without the understated Taylor. Having said that football is obviously very different now with large backroom teams supporting the manager. I'm desperate for PC to repeat his former successes at our club so hope he will still thrive without his long-term side kick.

I know what you're saying (Lambert and Culverhouse?) but as long as Cook is aware of what Richardson's strengths are and has covered them off in his coaching staff I suspect it's fine. It will definitely be something to look out for though.
