How did Bonne and Pigott work together?

How about Evans and Harper?

And down each flank Burns and KVY; was it Dobra and Penney down the left?

In the centre of defence there will be a new partnership once Edmundson comes in but how did Nsiala and Woolfenden look as a partnership against a Championship attack?

Also, did we play as a team generally or look more like a group of individuals?

Building partnerships and understandings all over the pitch will be key to success.

Evans and Harper look a partnership. Definitely a (sorry) work in progress but you can see what they’re doing. Both physical with good energy, Evans sits and passes while Harper gets round the pitch. The aim is usually to get the ball wide if possible.

I’m less sure about Pigott and Bonne but they are both learning Cook’s style. I think they’ll get there and I suspect some games only Pigott will play with Fraser at no10.
