we beat West Ham 5-1. 31st January, 2012. One of the highlights of a rubbish period. Somehow a whole decade has passed. Depressing, really.

It just goes to show how badly a terrible owner can effect a club in the long run. Ipswich and West Ham were never that far apart in standard historically, in fact we have won more bigger competitions. However in that 10 years they went on to be Premier League regulars, qualify for the Europa League and produce England internationals, while we went on to be League One regulars getting dumped out of the EFL Trophy by 4th division clubs and youth teams.

Marcus Evans did that.

Undoing the damage wrought by Evans will take a while but at least he’s effectively gone and no longer making decisions. The only way we were getting out of this League under the Evans regime was relegation!
