I think virtually all runs by our other forwards were also ignored. We seem reluctant to play those forward balls for players to run on to. But with players with the pace of Burns and Jackson, I don't really understand why. [Post edited 27 Aug 2022 21:24]

We do seem to be our own worst enemy at times, slowing down the game and looking backwards instead of forwards. Aluko seems to be the biggest culprit when he is on, for me he seems to have lost something from last season and he's always looking for the sideways or back pass before trying to do too much by himself and losing possession. |  | | |

It's gotta be that is what's being coached - maintain possession and don't risk giving the ball away. So we end up with a safe back or sideways pass instead of going for the riskier option. Need to mix it up more and be a bit more adventurous. |  |
