Covid: Business Interruption Payment - am I reading this right? 14:17 - Aug 30 with 437 viewshomer_123

TWTD Hive Mind needed.

As a business owner, I took out a BIP loan during Covid but was fortunate enough to pay it back before any interest was charged.

I've just had a BIP Statement through from our bank saying that that we had agreed to apply for a payment from the UK Government of interest covering a 12 month period and that this payment would go to the bank.

So, if I am reading this right. Even though the loan carried no interest as we cleared it early, our bank is getting a payment from the Government to the value of 12 months interest.

Is that right?!!!

'Right' as in technically correct, or 'right' as in morally justifiable?
