Pub prices 11:13 - Sep 12 with 722 views | catch74 | Just to say - all big breweries are raising their prices by about 6%- that’s for me £10 a barrel on standard lager. To keep my margin that’s 45p extra per pint. For tied pubs that’ll be far higher - maybe 75p. That’s before we start on covering energy prices (waiting to see how the cap affects us.)

Personally, I'm in the pub far less than i used to be, but went to a massive place called Hackney Bridge on Friday and was amazed to get a round of 3 pints for "only" in the £15 region - felt cheap, which is bonkers.

Pub prices on 11:18 - Sep 12 with 668 views | clive_baker | Yeah there will definitely be more increases on shelves. I'm on the other side of the fence and we passed on a 9% CPI to our retail and hospitality customers, and it's in no way opportunistic, it's just about enough to maintain our cash margin, but even then its decretive to our % margin. We got next to no challenge back from the retailers, they get it and everyone is having to pass them on. Their only tactic is a delaying one, they'll accept it but wanted us to wait 6 months. Tough times.
