Evans Sidelined For Period of Weeks 27th Oct 2022 14:58
Midfielder Lee Evans is facing a number of weeks on the sidelines with the knee injury he suffered during last Friday’s 1-0 victory over Derby, but Town boss Kieran McKenna reports no new fitness problems, while full-back Kane Vincent-Young is expected to return to training tomorrow and striker Gassan Ahadme is continuing his recovery. 13

"A number of weeks". Could be 1 or 50? Very vague. The fact he will be in a knee brace for a few weeks says 4 minimum I would think. I would guess the implication is that it is unlikely to be more than 8 weeks. Possibility he could be back for the Christmas period? That is 6 more league matches without him and then he won't be ready for all the busy period on his return.

The good news is that should give Humphreys a good amount of opportunity along with Ball.

I suppose we have to look at this as fairly good news. It could easily have be something similar to Aluko which is what really worried me and him being out for 3 or 4 months.

Knee injuries are always alarming and you can never be fully sure how bad they are until they are scanned. I know someone who's even managed to pay on after doing an ACL, not quite sure how!

So a blow but far from disastrous. With Morsy back, Humphreys and Ball as two good options and getting useful minutes we will be fine and not the worst period to miss with only 2 league games in November.

There’s is no better month to miss than Nov. Two league games only, back for busy Xmas and NY period it seems if the recovery goes to plan.
