Hypocritical rightie 17:05 - Nov 22 with 319 viewsHARRY10

Owen Paterson (ex Tory MP)

Having been found guilty of 'getting caught with his fingers in the till' this shyster is now taking the present government to court as he claims he was denied an appeal against the ruling by the Standards committee.

No ordinary court though, but the ECHR, which many will be aware of is believed by many rightie/brexiters to be part of the EU. It is not. It was set up after WW2, with the support of that notorious legftie, err.... Winston Churchill.

The hypocrisy comes from the words of a rightie from 2014

"Outside the EU and freed from the writ of the ECHR, “freedom of movement” within the EEA could be limited to free movement of workers, without having to accept dependents and members of their extended families."

No prizes for guessing who the author of those ignorant words were (see MP above) Ignorant because the ECHR has nothing to do with the EU (as explained). Perhaps this witless eejit might care to reflect on the circumstances that led to the drafting of that convention ie WW2.

I suspect he does know why it came about and why it is needed. But, as with so many others it suits him to pander to stupid voters by peddling lies.

Whether he wins or not will be for the court to decide, but I think most have already decided upon his actions in taking 'bribes' and whether he was fit to serve as an MP.

He resigned.
