Full time appraisal 17:01 - Jan 7 with 991 views | TalkingBlues | Average first half from both sides (we were the better side though) but a significant improvement in the second from us, destroyed them. Rotherham were absolutely appalling in every part of the pitch, surely they're relegated this season? Would have liked to see Luongo get a few minutes, but it is what it is. Refereeing decisions absolutely appalling throughout the match, but in our favour for a change, I just hope we haven't used them all in this one cup game, could do with a few in the league.

Certainly listening on the radio, there seemed to be a lot of good play and near misses, apart from the period just after the goal.

Rotherham just sat with 11 behind the ball. Never going to be easy but we did play some good stuff at times. Created and scored. Average seems very harsh.

It was the usual ITFC first half characteristics, create opportunities and promptly squander 99% of them, if people consider that to be good play, then so be it, I don't personally, hence the "average" description. I would also like to see the video of the Rotherham disallowed goal (for offside) in the first half, it was mighty close and a big let off from the best piece of play in the first half. Second half we created chances and took them, much more clinical from us, I thought it was a fair summary really.

Err 2 pens....so in terms of creating and finishing the halves we're the same. I think you underestimate how difficult it is to play against 11 players that sit.

I don't get what you mean about the pens? Rotherham didn't appear to be sitting to me, I think they were just so poor that they never got into the game and were on the back foot, other than straight after Keoghs hilarious piece of defending from the restart anyway.
